Hi and Welcome to you fellow music teacher Smiley
Im Mike who created this site and have  been putting up here at ezmusic4u in digital from the books Ive written .you can see them at  http://www.skysun.co.za/store

Im sure we can all benefit from many teachers advice around the world  here so please feel more than free to contribute.

We all know that there are many different approaches to teaching , and whilst I would encourage passionate debate, music teachers can sometimes be almost fanatatical about their own particular styles of teaching . As many students will come here too I would ask that teacher visitors be particularly sensitive about making blanket statements inferring about any one approach that : " this is the only way "  or "this is bad".

No one approach is "bad" or "good". In fact every approach can enhance another approach depending on the balanced view , knowledge of different methodolgies and intention of the teacher.  What isnt good is when peoples eyes are closed to new possibilities, because so firmly do they believe in their aquired "one way" that they can no longer see any other possibilities . Lets not push that kind of dogma onto students and rather enncourage them to see ALL the possibilities and ultimately develop a spirit of enquiry which will encourage students to develop that themselves.

I'm really looking forward to meeting teachers from all over the world here. Perhaps youll find time to contribute to the software, sheet music and lesson material even .

Thanks Mike  Smiley
