PLEASE NOW DOWNLOAD ANVIL at www.anvilstudio.com

PS dec 28 Anvil needs one to pay for a printing plugin

This program pt does not though - it prints freely
( standard notation for all instruments as well as guitar TAB and a tutorial explaining its uses with graphic screen shots is available free to instrument purchasers or paid subscribers or seperately

ANVIL  is a more complex program than the other ones. This does what Noteworthy player does but Anvil does  a  LOT more too.

However first download noteworthy player to get the basic ideas of the possibilities is my suggestion !

Download the program for the red attachment  below (if you have dialup please be patient it might take a good 15 - 20 mins ) .This program will enable:

1) TRANSPOSING:  Bb and Eb Instruments ( Clarinets trumpets/ saxophones etc ) can transpose midi files to their key both the sound and the prinitable bersions . transposing can also be used to copy any part ( say a clarinet part ) to a part an octave highee or lower ( so thus creating a bassoon part or cello part by also changing the instruments. Another use for transposing is to take the melody and make it sound a third or sixth interval below to enrich the melody

2) As with noteworthy player you can import a midi file and see the notation but with this program you can ALSO PRINT out any midi file as notation !

3) Keyboards / digital pianos with either USB or MIDI CONNECTION KITS ( midi out to USB ) can record direct onto their PCs with this program

4) You can change  each track to different instruments. You might prefer a SLAP BASS to a FINGERED BASS for instance

5) You can mute your SOLO part and play along with the band backing !

6) You can copy on track to another and then change the instrument on the new track ( doubling - trippling harmonies etc.)

7) you can record to your PC from a midi out connection on keyboard ( using a midi connection kit )  or straight from a USB keyboard or enter the notes in with a mouse and make 16 track arrangements and save them as a MIDI file

- remember to export as a FORMAT 0 file if you want to use the file to play step lessons on USB casio lighting keyboards, and then browse  for it with the casio software before sending to keyboard

As well as many other functions !

This is relatively light weight midi sequencing software but almost comparable to expensive programs  - like  Cakewalk CUbase Midinotate

After downloading the application I cannot open it due to it being a non recognisable file on my computer, pls help
if youre getting the normaol windows response to opening the file once downloaded and save it reads like this ( on WIN XP )
Quite annoying but ignore it and press OK where it asks ..windows just doesnt recognise every program ever made and I guess its just a security check . ive just tested it again -downloaded it from the forum myself again and installed it. Its fine

Let me know if thats what was worrying you or if not please post the EXACT message your PC gives

by the way if you wanted to use this program for printing this program will make you pay  $ for the printing plugin though you can record and arrange to on 2 tracks and see the midi.
Rather use the one for printing here in the paid subscribers section - it allows  printing of midi file notation from any midi file and has no time limitation either . And remember the tutorial and program for paid subscribers or free to instrument purchasers here for your Lk93 if you want to arrange the midi files as user songs to light up the notes of the Lk93 ( privia or celviano digital piano players  can also use it to to set midi channels 4 and 3  midi files into lesson left and right hand function ( playing left hand part of a piano piece whilst the right hand parts plays along )

By the way harold how is the Lk93 going ? let us know .. I hope a lot of fun

Mike, which one of the programs prints free?
Here is a quote from above.
......................................................................

......................................................................

Is the name of the prograqm pt? I could not find it. I am downloading the other notation software I seen on here, the one that is $49, and try it out and if I like it I will buy it. I do have Noteworthy software, but it does not show more than on line of the music at a time.

Dale the program PT is here in the FREE PLATINUM and GOLD members sections under guitar software ( ie part of what was previously called paid purchasers sections are open to FREE PLATINUM too .)
http://ezmusic4u.com/smf/index.php/topic,249.0.html
It only shows all the MIDI channels on one STAFF though so can be confusing for keyboards who need the right hand on one STAFF and left hand on another whereas guitarists are used to that
( let me know the name of person to collect from  ?)

About NOTEWORTHY VIEWER - nope it will display even 16 STAFFS not just one and will print them all (im going to get the the .NWC files ( noteworthy files for the left hand course up tonight BTW ) - It all depends  on how the arranger wrote - how many midi channels they used - it adapts to it ...so if it was written on one staff then then it only shows that one ........
the whole 64 lesson course and all coures I write are  to be viewed in FREE NOTEWORTHY VIEWER HERE  its sister program

Im busy redefining  areas as FREE NEWBIE FREE PLATINUM and GOLD but taking some time nut any software progrma to remind members is downloabale freely if you appy for a FREE PLATINUM membership

The other program you mention - is really excellent !! its not mine but I placed the link somewhere so you could buy or try it but you seem to have found it

thanks as always for your posts - appreciated
